Jamie advised me to write on a consumer forum to you and I thought at that time I had it sorted, but now it gets worse.

 

Hastings cannot find my car to have it returned.

 

For some reason this doesnt surprise me, as it has been a catalogue of mis-management, inept customer service and being pushed from pillar to post throughout this whole fiasco.

 

Spending fortunes on calls to try rectify your companies errors and lack of service, I would now like you to call me?

 

Someone has lost my car.

 

No one can or will tell me where it is?

Then when they say they know where it is, they will ring me in 7 days to ARRANGE to return it??

It took them 90 minutes to take it away, but going to take over 7 days to Arrange to return it?

 

This is the mst ridiculous situation of insurance I have ever come across and I am going to go to National newspapers with this.

 

I ask to talk to management and dont get put through?

I am tired of talking to people who cannot sort out their own jobs?

I am told to ring here and there and back again to be put on hold for over 20 mins each time..

 

I will also be invoicing Hastings for my phone bills.

 

I have paid for fully comp insurance, this accident was not my fault.

Yet I am being made to run around and sort out my own compensation.

 

I want my car found and delivered to me within 24 hours or Im calling the police to say someone will not return my vehicle.

 

You are all over google for dishonest and disreptuable service and I now I understand why.

 

So far the catalogue of events:

 

Told different "rules" of policy by different agents.

Told could not have my car back.

Told if wanted my property (car) back then I had to deal direct with the third party?

 

I am the victim of an accident, that was not my fault, so why did I Have to do all the dealings, chasing up and negotiations.

 

I paid fully comp for a service I have not received.

 

Once made deal with third party solicitors, I try to arrange to get my car returned.

 

Here starts fiasco number three.

 

Ist call they dont know where my car is and tell me to ring the salvage company.

 

I ring the salvage and they have never heard of my car.

 

I ring back hastings..

EVERY TIME each call takes 22 minutes to answer,

strange that its 22 minutes each time??

Are you getting shares in the call costs as well as sharing the sale of repaired cars via the salvage company you use?

 

It is all over the internet, you sell cars before a deal is finished, amongst other horrendous stories of total incompetence.

 

How very sorry I am that I didnt do my own research. Instead went for cheap.. and boy have I got cheap lack of service.

 

I have had to chase my own claim,

find my own car,

have been bullied by you and third party and

I intend to take this everywhere and anywhere I can find to get it public if I do not have my car back at my house in the same amount of time it took to get picked up.

 

From when you read this.

 

Guessing you are all away having a nice weekend,

whilst I am sitting here wondering if you have illegally sold my car,

that I cant even find out where it is,

that it isnt your policy to be a helpful insurance company,

so whilst you are busy having a good weekend,

I will be putting this letter out on every single forum I can find

until my car and all costs associated are recovered.

 

I only wish News of the Wrold was still in circulation, they loved stories of ineptness like this.

 

Very much looking forward to someone in some form of control to put this right,

but somehow I am left with little faith.. and tomorrow I go in search of my car myself.

 

My next port of call is to let the world and ombudsmen know that your insurance company is holding my car,

and dont know where it is, and because it is the weekend even tho I was talking to another inept rep before the weekend,

refuse to even try to find out, being told instead I would have to wait until monday.

 

Meanwhile under threat from third party solicitors of refusal to pay hire car costs because of all the delays you are ensuring happens,

I am being forced to return the hire car, when I have an 89 yr old grandmother who relies on me three times daily.

 

You truly are a disgusting company and if my grandmother suffers as a result of this I will be suing as this is my next course of action on Monday. Private solicitors.

To carry on this ridiculous saga with HASTINGS as of course any kind of management is away for the weekend. I have located my car, through my own detective work, as wasnt at the location/number Hastings gave me. After asking the SALVAGE to take my car back, as is my property, the salvage yard refused as they hadnt had release notification from Hastings, which was supposed to of been done yesterday, after I got told Id have to wait 7 days to ARRANGE the return.

And at 7.40 am this morning after asking for an extension on the hire car due to the 7 more days to get my car back, they come and take away the hire car? So they can release the hire car, but not MY car?

Now I cannot take my grandmother, her dinners unless I walk and by that time they will be cold, take her to the doctors or do her shopping. THanks HAstings direct. you really are a cool company... NOT.

My claim has gone to third party, so why then are Hastings holding onto my car?

Why isnt there any management at weekends?

Why are hastings so incompetent?

Why are they allowed to get away with this, disrupting peoples lives.

This is truly disgusting.

I don't think many companies have management working at the weekend, lucky them.
