Hi all

I've recently fount out that my dog extra policy is going to end on my July renewal!!!

My dog is now 5 years old and I took out the Halifax extra policy as a safeguard due to a previous pet with skin problems and I wanted every eventuality covered. My do developed atopic dermatitis in her first year and is on steroids daily and vet prescribed diet (£78 per 14kg bag)and needs regular (every 8-12 week) visits to Liverpool small animal hospital to monitor her condition.

To add to her problems she was last year diagnosed with a life threatening condition mega oesophagus.

I've sent an official complaint to halifax on 11th April and have received a reply stating

Bdml connect

We received your letter 19th April and an independent member of our complaints team will investigate your complaint following this process

1 If we are unable to resolve your complaint within 20 days of receiving it,we will write to update you!

2 if after 40 days we have still not resolved your complaint,we will again write to you to explain why and your right to refer the matter to theFos

I've still not heard anything,do I ring them?

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated and I can include a copy of my complaint if you want to read it?

Regards

Chris

I have moved your thread into the Pets and Vets forum.

Please have a read of some of the other similar threads.

This situation with Halifax Pet Policies has received a lot of attention recently, including a Watchdog airing.

This is all detailed in the threads on this forum.
