A couple of suggestions:

 

Given their reputations it may be an idea to set up topics for MBNA and Capital One. Both of these American companies are well known for thinking that they can operate outside British banking rules and conventions. When the illegality of their penalty charges becomes known, I think this forum will be flooded.

 

My other suggestion is a topic for businesses. As I have read it, the same issues and solutions apply for business accounts but the basis of the claim is slightly different. It might be an idea to have something that sets out the key diffsrences in approach that are required. This could just be an FAQ.

You may be right but we'll wait for more specific activity on those institutions before opening new forums. However if you are right that it is because they think that being American puts them outside the rules here then maybe it is time for a little "friendly-fire" :twisted:

As far as the business thing goes, we are open to ideas. Would you like to draft some FAQs and we can have a look see. You can see our style in our existing FAQs. minimal editing needed would be appreciated. Use PM
