Hiya!

My friend bought a Mamas and Papas Pliko P3 back in May 2009, and it had a 2 year warranty with it.

Last week the zip that holds the rain cover to the hood broke (the part on the hood), and the plastic is coming away from the zip on the rain cover.

I phoned their customer care for her, and they said the warranty doesn't cover parts or general wear and tear, and that for a new hood, it's £85, and for a new rain cover it's £50, the pram only cost £250 in the first place!

What I'm wondering, is should she expect this to be sorted for free? The rain cover is hardly ever used, so to blame it on wear and tear is a bit bad, and to not cover it under the warranty is also a bit of a joke. I've had my pram about the same length of time, maybe a bit longer, and my hood and rain cover are both still intact, and my pram wasn't an expensive one!
