just a quick question

my nephew purchased this game today in tesco. i have just bought him a laptop for school and he wanted to try out this game. its an expansion to that world wide world of warcraft.

being a novice he did not realise this and just thought it was like the tomb raider game.

when he loaded it onto the computer he found out it needs an online subscription to play in the very small print at the bottom of the picture.

it states

ADDITIONAL ONLINE FEES APPLY

you cant even play the game unless you give bank details. twenty five quid is a lot of cash to lose for a thirteen year old and i feel its very underhand of tesco to advertise the game like this.

he went back to the store and they refused a refund or credit note stating the box had been opened.

my question is

can i quote the sale of goods act for misrepresentation ref online fees apply to even play the game or

WHAT OPTIONS DOES HE HAVE

THANKS

hi post.

well TBH its sold everywhere, so its not really a tesco issue as such

this is typical of most of these type of 'games' now

they are 'bolt-on' to existing online stuff.

shame you did not pay by CC [chargeback]

i dont think, [but you may like to check]

that games/dvds etc are covered by the xx days to return for a full refund if you dont want them.

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
