Victory From Barclays

Hi,

 

I phoned Barclays up the other day, and demanded to know why they had ignored my letter.

 

When it became apparent that I was 'heavily involved' with this web site, they just said "The cheque will be in the post."

 

I didn't believe it and phoned again 2 days later, to be told that the infamous Anita Hicks was dealing with it.

 

Anyway, sure enough, I did receive the cheque.

 

Then the next day I received a letter stating that as I had signed the T&C's at the opening of the account I had agreed to be charged in this way, and very sorry but you can't have your money back.

 

Odd.

 

Could it be that banks just don't know whats hitting them and are not used to people asserting their rights, and therefore don't really have a policy for this?

Do you mind telling us how much? I am seeing vitories are usually small before court?

It was 200 quid.
