Hi

I received a Citation (Form 05) from Patten & Prentice on behalf of HFC for an unpaid debt of £7110.71 on a Credit Card.

I have 21 days from the 5 January to respond on Form 03 or Form 07.

Today I attempted to phone HFC, was transferred to collections direct and paid £900. I have arranged to pay £2000 tomorrow and a further £2000 next week before a final payment of the balance as soon as possible after that (which might well be after that 21 day limit).

I am trying to avoid being taken to Court. Does anyone know if this will mean that HFC call off the dogs?

Should I be handling this differently?

Thanks

Barrhead

well, they can withdraw or hold it until the final payment, maybe a quick letter to the issing name stating payments and asking them to wothdraw or abandon the action.

Or if the decree was go through you have 28 days after that before it is recorded.

I would initlally send a letter special delivery to hold action
