Its not actually for me, but from a friend here at work.

The basis is that she is owed 3.8k in salary expenses from when she worked there last year. She has chased and chased and given up but I think she should not let it lie.

Their website is no longer in operation, so I am unsure if they are still trading, but is there anyway she can attempt to recover at least some of her money?

I suggested issuing a money claim, but I havent a clue where to begin? I guess a prelim and LBA, heavily modified to suit employment law?

Also, if the company has gone bust, how would she go about getting to the administrators as a creditor or is there a time limit on that also?

This will help if the company has been liquidated.

Guide for Creditors

You'll see that your friend comes high in the list as a preferential creditor, but only for wages/salary due in the four months prior to liquidation.

Otherwise, issue a claim. Worth a small investment in the book on the left for guidance on how to do it.
