 Phone call from Halifax Customer Services today, despite stating in prelim letter that I did not want to be contacted by phone, only letter!

He phoned to advise me that the OFT ruling only applied to credit cards & not bank accounts yet, but I was not being drawn into a debate with him! He also said that I would be made an offer but not the full amount. I advised that I would be pursuing my claim for the full amount so he took the hint and said that there was no point in discussing it then! That's right!

He said an offer would be made to me by letter, I didn't even bother asking how much it was for.

Still not posted LBA (very busy with baby), will do so this afternoon.

Keep you all posted, ;-)

  • 2 months later...

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted but my PC has been on the blink! Typical! All my bank letters etc were stored on my PC so had no access to them for court action (who's the dafty that didn't print them or save them to disk?!)

Got an offer of 298 in November which I accepted as part payment only and advised I was still seeking the full amount. Got a letter back basically advising I was getting nothing then!

My next stage is court action, but have I left it too late since my LBA? Should I send another LBA or is it still OK to proceed to court stage?

Thanks for your help, :)
