Dunctons solicitors, yesterday, offered me just under half of the amount i requested for wasted costs, without prejudice, to save costs

i said Thanks, but no thanks

the costs assessment hearing is a week on friday (26th Nov) at my local court.

I am a bit miffed, they could have made me an offer against the costs i requested before i paid £300 for the hearing fee, but didnt bother, they just disputed most of the amount, except about £50, and then employed a solicitor to deal with the costs hearing

I think now they have realised they have to pay a solicitor to travel 70 miles each way to my local court, so i am guessing, 4 hours labour, in an attempt to screw me out of money

Its costing them more to dispute the costs, than if they actually paid it

So NO, im not going to roll over, take it up the backside, and accept less than half of what i originally requested !!
