We have just converted a 1979 bike to a Trike it has been to the weighbridge and is under 450 KG and it has just passed its MOT on the existing chassis number and reg number what do i do now? i have been told as the bike is over 10 yrs old i can just change it on the log book to a trycycle is this true????

I don't believe so. Your V5C will need to have the correct classification showing, if it isn;t you may need to make a declaration to the DVLA and take the bike to one of VOSA's centres for it to be inspected. Once this is done, they will arrange for the classification to be switched.

 

MOT stations themselves cannot do this.
