Wetherspoons do acceptable meals which are certainly cheaper than any from a hotel, hence to probable reasoning behind the FROM 6pm timing no doubt.

 

 

I eat in the local Wetherspoons sometimes but what's it going to be like on a Friday night in Leeds city centre? In the Manchester centre one its always packed from 5 pm with people out from work and you can't get a table and I suspect Leeds will be the same. Might just bring butties!

 

ps - a hotel foyer or bar isn't usually packed so people are easy to find!

I've always thought that it should have been Newcastle Brown that was called 'Mother's Ruin' hf.

I'll need to share a room with someone, can't afford one on my own. I too have plastic wine glasses and pint beer mugs handy in my case. With the house move imminent (will know exact date after tomorrow) funds are a little tight but its doable as I didn't go to Ireland and paid off two bills instead.

 

Should have got rid of this lurgey by then unless it decides to make a comeback.

I am getting the coach back to London about 4pm from Leeds and might have time to go round Salts Mill before I go home, haven't been there in years, (its the place near Bradford which has a lot of David Hockney paintings... I love his work).

OK, that's sorted then. I'm not sure of my timings yet, I'll have to look at train times - I get the Leeds Manchester train but need the one that stops at Stalybridge.

 

I'll pm you my name etc so you can check in if you get there before me. Won't know what time I'm arriving until nearer the time as it depends whether I'm working that day or not.
