Hey all

 

Sending my data protection request off today so I'll see how that goes.

 

Anyone actually had any luck with HSBC? I notice all the examples that I've seen from people are from other banks paying out. I;ve yet to see anyone who's had any luck from HSBC. I am beginning to hate them witha passion after the way I've been treated by them the last few years when I really needed their help. I hope this claim works if only so I can metaphorically swivel 2 fingers in their face. I just find it hard to believe this will succeed as they have been so hard to me in the past.

 

Anyway, let me know if you've had any luck please!

I've been with the same branch for 25 years, and have only once been given service that could be considered helpful. Believe me, I loathe my bank...

 

It seems I am a few days ahead of you in my claim (check my independent posting) and my suggestion is that whilst you have requested info by post, try and get the details online to hurry your claim along...I will keep you posted of any successes I get (if any)

There are two cases in the Litigation section against the HSBC which have been settled by them. I am sure that there are loads of others which were settled before they ever got that far

Hi guys, thanks for replying. Interesting about Litigation, will check that up.

 

Been trawling these forums and am not sure I even sent my letter to right place. I sent it to M Bowden (the Infamous)- was this right or should DPA go to my branch? Or First Direct in Leeds?

 

I've looked about and only have statements dating back to 02 so definitely need them to help.

Hi Carl

 

Don't know from your post how much you are claiming back from HSBC. I have just been offered £50 of my £77 charges (very little compared to others but it is still my money!) Still considering whether to accept their offer or challenge them again. I will probably write again in the same firm tone I used last time - if we stand firm then it may make the path easier for others to follow.
