Nah, that's just wishful thinking. All you have to do is look at other countries and you'll see that no matter what their policies are, they all have been badly bitten. You can blame Brown all you like, but I'd take a bet that there is an overwhelming feeling of relief in the Tory HQ that they weren't in power when the bubble burst or they'd be the ones carrying the can on that one.

 

Ah, someone too young to remember the Thatcher years then. Yes, those years where the recession was home-grown, interest rates soared, mines were closed, milk for kids in school was stopped, child benefit got frozen for yrs on end, the poll tax was introduced, the NHS got dismantled brick by brick, the railway sold off piece by piece, need I go on?

oh yes i remember bookworm intrest rates over 18%lowest was 15%.schools crumbling no new re builds at all like we have now not even a minimum wage .long n h s waiting lists massive waiting lists for operations. dont forget these days there worth remembering especially in the polling booth...

I can`t get past the 15+% interest rate,negative equity which I had and the Tory bully boy tactics. Not really one for strike action but was appalled at action taken against the miners. Friend of mine was a young PC at the time and put a deposit down on his first house with the overtime!

My wife and I are both disabled and although frustrated by the form filling have no reason to despise Labour. A change of Government unless led by someone sensible and honest like Vince Cable or Joanna Lumley would not change a thing!!!

proves the the credit crisis is not made by brown .the credit crunch just arrived in brazil.france jobless at records high.this is one thing not made in great britain .
