Council parking ticket

I have made a huge error! I received a parking ticket after returning late to my car whilst it was parked in a pay and display car park. I assumed it was a private car park and sent a 'I was not the driver at the time' template letter. I have received a really scary letter informing me the court and the men in black are coming to get me if i don't pay within 7 days from the date of the letter. It is now 4 days past that date. What do I do? can anyone help me?

It's not clear whether this is a Council PCN or a private parking company 'invoice'. Who issued the ticket?

 

Scan the document into your computer and open it in Paint or similar program. Edit out the personal information and identifying numbers etc.

 

Save it as a jpeg file

Open an a/c on Photobucket, (here: Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket ),or Tinypic here: (TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting )

 

Click the "upload image" box and browse to find the file of your scanned jpeg on your hard disk

 

It will then upload the image to Photobucket and it will show you thumbnails of the images you have uploaded. Under each image there are links that you can copy and paste.

 

Copy and paste the IMG Code link from Photobucket to the reply box on your thread here, which will look like this:

 

When you submit the reply, the text will change into the image you uploaded onto Photobucket.

I've had a go at sending the letters using photobucket. I hope this has worked.

don't be confused by the fact have scanned the one letter 3 times there are 2 different letters.

There is not that much of a chance of getting off an expired ticket in a car park. Personally I would pay it asap as if its not paid you will in due course be visited by the baliffs and the cost will escalate. I would put it down to expeience and next time seek advice as soon as you get the first ticket.
