If the banks are willing to allow us to take them to court only to cave in at the last minute and then give us our money. Why don't they do the same with the Data protection act?

 

That would make the process take so much longer, if people can't even get the data on which to process the claim.

Nat West have tried that with me. It actually speeded things up as I complained to the Information Commissioner and have sued them for an estimated amount. Brute force is the only things that these armholes understand.

I suppose if you estimate and overshoot, then it would be up to the bank to justify the "re-calculation" and lower the limit. Based on the fact that they denied you the information under the Data Protection Act, which you duly applied for.
