Hey guys,

I have been following the guides on this website and I received the initial response from Nationwide today. As expected, they are playing the OFT card but something in the letter has got me a little confused.

They mention that if I am considering taking the case to court, they have agreements to postpone the hearing until the case has been concluded.

Am I wasting my time taking Nationwide to court?

Secondly, after reading through the response letter, it seems a little out dated for the context of their reply. Should I write my own reply, saying I am aware of the OFT situation or should I just stick to the standard response letter despite it being very similar to the one I originally sent?

Hi, Sceneshift.

People are advised to take their claims all the way to court, at least that way, if your claim get's 'stayed', you'll be in the queue when they come to paying out. Sometimes, it takes a letter from the court to show the Bank you mean business.

Regards.

Scott.

Thanks for the reply, I'll continue with my claim.

In regards to what I should send in response, should I simply reply saying that I understand that cases are being stayed, but I am giving them 14 days to refund me or I will make a case against them in court, then just wait 14 days to do so?
