THIS SITE ROCKS!!!

Sent in Data Protection Act letter Thursday 6th July.

From my own calculations they owe us just over £2000

WOW! didn't realise it was that much.

No wonder we're skint!!!

Data Protection Act response letter

Recieved a response today,

They will be forwarding my statements shortly,

In batches, (no envelopes big enough??!!)

HSBC returned my £10 cheque too!! WOW!!

HSBC didn't state whether there had been any

'manual intervention'

on my account, just examples of when it may happen.

Do I need to write again asking for verification of

'manual intervention'?

This is my first ever post and I'd just like to say thank you to every one, for inspiring me!!

I was checking my statement online last night and noticed a charge on my account for £121.00, and I just saw red!! This morning I sent my letter for all bank statements, and I have gone back to 2001 online, and added up all charges (adding 8% apr) and the total so far is £3086.86.

Can't wait to get the full statements through and send my next letter............

DPA I took into local branch

The reply from DPA was from

Mr Ian Shepherd

Binley, West Midlands.

So I addressed the repayment request to him.

The settlement letter came from another address though.

Whichever address you send the letters to they seem to get forwarded to the correct department anyway.

 I have also sent first letter

(Request for repayment)

To Capital One

They have responded with;

Thankyou for writing, we are looking into it...we'll do everything

we can to get an answer to you within four weeks....

if it's going to take longer we'll let you know...blah, blah , blah...

Do I wait four weeks for a reply?

Do I just wait 14 days, then send next letter?
