  1. I first received an offer of £1980.00 from HSBC on 31st August, in full and final settlement which I rejected. I sent the template letter, asking again for the full amount £2550.06 (increased by £60 since then as I've incurred somemore charges). Instead of issuing at court, I held off thinking they were starting off low and would send me all my money within the next couple of weeks. Instead, I got another letter dated 11th September, offering me £2,000 (b***dy cheek). I've not even dignifed this one with a response. Off to court next Thursday (pay day) to issue. Wish I didn't wait, would have probably received my money by now!
  2. Thanks for the pointer Michael. Will have a good read before I start on the paperwork tomorrow.
  3. I'm about to issue proceedings myself. A bit nervous, but have come this far and not about to back down. When you say 14 days have passed and the bank's done nothing, was there a hearing date they didn't turn up for or has the court order them to lodge a defence within 14 days?
  4. I thought it might be that memoryman. Was just a bit suspicious when I spoke to the customer services officer who couldn't tell me what they were, then said they'd speak to their manager and he'd get back to me. When I heard nothing, the conspiracy theorist in me smelt a cover-up. Paranoid me!!
  5. Hello memoryman, I had loads of WITHDRAWN entries on my statements, which, like you I assumed were my over the counter withdrawals. Thing is though, I had one which apparently took place after a ATM withdrawal at 18.32 hrs on a Friday evening. When I phoned HSBC to query this, they said someone would ring me back to explain. That was 3 weeks ago and I'm still waiting. I'm tempted to claim it as the bank don't seem to know what this is about either. Did you include these figures in your claim? If not, did anyone from the bank confirm exactly what they were about?:?
  6. Thanks Tanner. Will let you know how I get on.
  7. Congrats Tanner. Sent my prelim letter on 28th July by recorded delievery to the head office.......Not heard a peep out of them yet..... Wish me luck!
  8. Hello! This is my first time on the CAG website. I'm here to get some advice on how to sue HSBC. They recently sent me my statements for the past 6 years and to my disgust, I've paid out over £3,000 in charges. Is there anyone else out there suing HSBC? What stage are you at and what has been their general attitude towards you?
