Having watched the various postings on MSE and on here, I have finally convinced my mother that it would be a good idea for her to try and claim back the numerous charges that have seen her in financial difficulty with credit cards over the last who knows how many years :? She has statements for the last 2 years or so, so we just ned to fill in the gaps.

She only seemed convinced when an article appeared in the Daily Mail on Wednesday.

Anyway, I have written DPA letters to the following which she has sent:

GE Capital Bank - Frasercard

Clydesdale Bank - Yorkshire BAnk

Citi Financial - Citi Cards

I have also sent to Lloyds TSB for their Mastercard, but will post under the Lloyds TSB thread about this.

Wish us luck, I cant wait to get my teeth into it all, and I think once I have shown this website to my Mum at the weekend (complete technophobe) she will have an even better understanding. Once I have responses from the individual banks (here's hoping!) I shall start individual threads.

Thanks :D

Tell me about it, I am completely addicted to MSE! Wouldn't wipe my backside on the Daily Mail, but perhaps thinking about it it could be classed as extreme moneysaving :D
