  1. My husband is getting regular calls to his mobile from 0845 576 0491. They're leaving blank messages. We've called it back and the message is 'you were called by the contact centre. We may or may not call you back'. Any ideas who it might be? Googling has come to naught. Thanks in advance!

  3. Hi, Today my partner received a letter from Mortgage Agency Services Number Four Limited saying that they believe he now lives at our address and can he fill in the form to confirm this. He had a home repossessed from him about 2 years ago and has heard nothing since, so I'm assuming this is what it is for. Can anyone advise us the best thing to do? Shall we fill the form in, ignore it, call them?? Has anyone ever had dealings with thes people before? I'm worried sick over this as we've just found out we're pregnant and are going to struggle as it is! Any help would be really appreciated.
  4. PLEASE HELP! I purchased two tmobile premium numbers for a £1000 each for my parents and they were working fine for three months. We went abroad for a few months and on our return we found that the numbers no longer work. I have called tmob who simply say the numbers were lawfully transferred as the person who called to do the transfer gave my password. I did not authorise this and tmobile are refusing to even look into it! I want my numbers back but dont know where to start... has any one had any experience like this and can provide some assistance? I hear tmobile have employees who transfer premium numbers not being used for a while for a bit of money under the table! Please help!
  5. Hi, Just over a month ago I bought a two TalkTalk mobiles - there were some teething problems which I was assured would be ironed out in 3-5 days. After about 3 weeks, one of the handsets was working and I successfully ported my old number (from Vodafone). However, in trying to fix the second handset they have deleted my old number (which I have had for some years and use for private and professional uses), and given me a default number instead. While I complained and eventually got through to the CEO's office, nothing is apparently being done to retrieve my old number, and they can't promise that they would. Vodafone can't get my number back as it's already been ported. Is there anything I can do to get this fixed? I've tried the "the squeaky wheel gets the oil" approach which just seems to confuse them as they just add action after action onto my account notes which doesn't get done, and I've taken it as high as they're willing to go. What's the going rate in Court for a lost number? Thanks, Frank P.S. The second handset STILL doesn't work, either.
  6. Hi. Wondered if anybody knew what this phone number 07450198982 is ? It has called me 8 times this evening but nobody speaks and one call didn't terminate for 45 minutes. I haven't picked the receiver up since then as I don't want to have my line blocked again. I just hear the repeated message "You've been placed on hold, please wait". The voice has an English accent. I've tried calling the number back but get constant engaged tones or an eventual message telling me to leave my name and number, but it doesn't state who I am calling and it has just called again at 9.10 p.m. but once again left no message. It may not be a debt collector but since I have some debts, I think it's likely. Hope someone can help. If not, thanks for reading Dips
  7. Hey guys... didnt know what section to put this in but there has been a massive mistake by someone. I started my old job over 7 years ago. When joining the company they required national insurance card to make a copy of as well as some other documents. I put my national insurance card away in a safe place as it is not something I use every day of course. I left my job back in August, had P45. After an accident at home I phoned up the ESA people to claim that benefit. They asked for my national insurance.... I gave them the NI number that shows on my wage slip and also my p45.... however... they said the national insurance number doesnt match my name. After I was certain the NI number was correct they continued to fill in the application and said a copy of my correct number will be sent on my confirmation of the application form. Just after the phonecall ended I dug out my NI card.... and guess what? The number on the card is completely different to the number on my P45 and all of my wage slips. What can I do? The company I worked for had clearly made a mistake when copying down and putting my NI number from my NI card onto the forms... Effectively for the last 7 years of working there my NI number has been wrong and nobody has told me... even my P45 shows my name but the wrong NI number.... Thanks
  8. Hi, I sent Sainsbury's a SAR on 30th March, they wrote back to me mid may saying they couldn't find me and needed an account number or previous address. I had supplied my Name, Address and D.O.B in my original SAR and I haven't had a previous address. I don't know my account number so I wrote back again stating this and infoirming them I had not moved so details were the same. They have responded again with exactly the same letter saying they can't locate my details without an account number or previous address. I tried to ring number on letter because it takes weeks for them to respond to letters but the number on letter is invalid 01244 694717 so I rang the number of their website and spoke to someone from on-line tech queries as this was only person i could get through to without knowing account number! He said he would try and find out why they couldn't find me and call me back, I told him I would be deeply concerned if they couldn't find my data becasue my account was closed less than 6 years ago! He said he'd call me back but never did (suprise suprise!) They cashed my £10 cheque in July, any ideas what to do or shall I just go straight to ICO? Thanks
  9. Hi guys, it seems black horse are being a little stubborn with my ppi claim. i have requested my loan agreement and they have provided me with it. i have the account number for the loan and a copy of the agreement. my case is that i did not tick the tickbox for ppi but i am however paying for it in my agreement. I have sent a questionaire and provided them with my loan account number which i believe would be enough information for them to process my claim. The loan is still active and i took it out mid 2008. they have now replied saying that without the agreement number for the ppi then they cannot process my claim. They would not be able to find information over 3yrs old. I am sure i was never provided with this number to begin with and obviously was totally unaware i had ppi until i looking into my loan agreement. I have changed address since the loan was taken out, maybe that has something to do with it?. Has anybody else here had a loan with lloyds and had a separate agreement number for their ppi? thanks in advance, jamie.
  10. Hey Caggers, Currently have BT Landline and BE (02) Broadband. Recently changed my BT phone number. I was told categorically by BT that my broadband would be unaffected by this. Since the change my broadband has not worked. BE have stated: "Please let me inform you that I have BT/ Openreach's confirmation that your new number (01*********) has not services on it. It will be visible with the correct marker for a clear line soon. As discussed, a re-provisioning should be started. Let me remind you that we would need to arrange a BT engineer to go in the exchange and physically reconnect the cables. This order could take up to 7 working days and BT will charge us 25 pounds. This is the reason you will see this charge in your next invoice." BT's CEO has just stated this in reply to my email: 'There is no reason why a change in phone number would affect your broadband." Which is correct? What on earth can I do?
  11. Hello there, please can anyone help me with the following.... I have a debt that iv been ignoring now for a year....silly i know.... Iv had the court letters issud from Nottingham but didnt fill them in,then had the "Judgment For Claimant" letter from the court stating how much i owe and how much to pay each month.... I suppose iv been nieve thinking that there just fake court letters from Bryan Carter to frighten me.... I then got a letter this morning from Bryan Carter saying "WARRANTY OF EXECUTION"....there a warraant number after this.... This is when i googled for some explanation and came acrcos this site where iv read simmilar storys to mine....EG.the letter states YOUR ACCOUNT HAS NOW BEEN REFEERED FOR ISSUE OF A WARRANT OF EXECUTION....then it states the same warrant number at the top of the letter....and....THE BAILIF WILL NOW ATTEND AT YOUR PROPPERTY.... Reading some of the other posts it says that there cant be a warrant number as the account has been been refeered for one,and this is a trick to get you to call BRYAN CARTER which the replys say not to.... So upon reading some more replys,i called NORTHAMPTON County Court,i gave them the Claim No and they comfirmed the CCJ was issued against me and the dates/ammounts matched so the CCJ is legit.... I then told the clark about the letter from BRYAN CARTER and he said that there was no warrant issued.... At the bottom of the BRYAN CARTER letter it says that,If you are unable to pay in full then we may be able to aggree an instalment plan....then....You must contact us immediatly if you wish to avoid the Baliff calling at your house.... So my question is,even tho the CCJ is legit has BRYAN CARTER sent me this letter just to scare me into calling them to set up a payment plan in a similar way as in the past with other letters of a discount or setlment offer....? Ive read not to deal with BRYAN CARTER but only deal with the court but the court clark says there has been no warrant issued....So what next?.... Iv also read that if the warrant is issued by the court then i can susspend it for free as im on benefits?.... Id just like to be back at the stage where i have to subnit the court forms with my ins and out goings for the judge to decide how much i can afford.... Thankyou for taking the time to read my post....
  12. Mucky Hall rang for my partner yesterday, me being aware of number unavailable calls etc this displayed a local number which I answered and is false. They must have been ringing from Scotland. Surely that action is illegal? They have been searching for her under her previous name and me answering they have her, and my name is mud now also! They don't know here new surname. Over eight years ago my partner had a serious accident, broke her neck (is ok now) but was in a neck / head cage thingy etc. Happened in between changing jobs (notice period). She couldn't start her new job and had resigned from previous job! She unfortunately had to declare herself bankrupt (debt's from her ex- husband). Anyway that was all behind us now. Cleared from bankruptcy, built her credit rating back up etc but this Mucky Hall firm are chasing her now? She is aware of not contacting them or speaking to them ever and hasn't. They have rang her workplace as well. Everyone has denied knowing her apart from muggins here Will this go away? Expecting the calling and doorstepping and letters to escalate now. Thanks
  13. Hi I have tried to contact MBNA on numerous occasions to raise a complaint about the PPI i had on a credit card which I held with them between 1996 until 2002. I do still have the majority of the credit card statements, although I no longer have the card itself. The problem I have is that the account number quoted on all statements is only 10 digits long and MBNA cannot find this on their systems. Has anybody else come up against this problem and if so how or who did you speak to obtain the information? Also do you think MBNA will consider my claim as it goes back so many years and i no longer hold a credit card with them? Any help or suggestions on the best way forward with this would be much appreciated I feel like I am going round in circles!
  14. What is the number for an emergency payment at the job center? Not to be confused with a crisis loan. I haven't had money for 18 days now, my electric is on 27p and have no food or gas. I have used all my crisis loans too. My money should have went in monday but due to illness i sent a jsa28 form instead. That was handed in to my local JC on monday, whats taking it so long! ugh!
  15. I recently got a PCN however the attendant rushed to fill it in and added a 0 or O into my number plate when I don't have anything similar to that... Should I pay it or hope that they won't trace me???
  16. Hi all I could use a little help. I'm trying to prove that I held an account with MBNA (obviously I don't have records anymore) and have come across an old credit card receipt. It has the entire 16-digit PAN on it and I know that the first 6 digits are the Bank Identification Number. I've looked up on www.bindb.com and it confirms it's a prefix for a Mastercard by MBNA. The code is 544182 Does anybody else have any recollection/knowledge of cards being issued by MBNA that began with these numbers? The chances are that it will date from the mid- to late-1990s. Thanks all
  17. Hi Guys I have been served with a PCN from Thurrock Council, I parked my truck in a Industrial estate nr Tilbury docks, not a busy industrial estate at all, I was tired and after a long day behind the wheel, I pulled up for the night. 18. Compliments of Nev - a tireless worker for the rights of motorists in the UK I have an idea that the BPA at some point claimed that there about 36,000 cases per year? Maybe someone can correct me Data (2).xls
  19. Hello, I've just paid off my 2 year contract for my mobile phone with T-mobile and set up a new one with T-mobile via Tesco . I have a PAC code because I need to retain my mobile number but T-mobile wont agree to transfer my old number to my new mobile contract. If I went to an alternative network I could take my number but I'm informed by T-mobile I can't do it in my case. I thought there was legislation to the effect that the number was mine to move as I like. Am I wrong? What can I do? What rights do I have? Thank you.
  20. Dear all, This is really urgent, I received a letter asking for my version of events for travelling on a bus without a ticket. I sent off the letter but forgot to write down the contact numbers on them, I believe they start with 0203 or 0207. Has anyone who has received a letter for explaining their version of events or summons to court letter have the contact numbers? I really do need to speak to someone. I know they are in South East London, but really do need their contact number. Can someone please help me.
