Yes people have been taken to court by IDR who rely on a supposed legal experts evidence. Its the same letter each time. They often then win the case or force you to pay up. People just dont seem to bother posting up these results. For every one person that happens to there are tons more left alone. Being a numbers game it seems they focus on people they can get a quick result on ie with property.

Does no reply to the PAPLOC mean a chance of a default judgement or would they have to go through a further process first?

Hello all, I've been on here before with regards my credit card debt and have now received a pap loc letter from J and P. obviously there is a great deal of interest added on. I will download the reply letter that is on here but what reason can I give for the dispute? Thanks in advance.

IDR have been pursuing people, but as a business it is people who they can make money out of. If they dont think they can ie they can't target assets, they hand it back to the bank and someone else comes along to call and email but essentially nothing.. knowing several other people all in the same boat we were getting the same messages at the same time while down the boozer lol.

I can't block emails unfortunately with my Mac account. I did provide the address in writing.

They have contacted via email however I have not replied via any form.

I have two cards which im in large debt to. One is emirates nbd which iDR disappeared from hassling me probably as I have no assets im now being chased by another JandP. the amount has doubled, I have little interest in dealing with this one. Thing is my other card , the bank in UAE have been contacting me saying moriarty will get in touch. Moriarty haven't said anything and that was said to me in march. Now the bank are offering to give me a payment plan minus interest (they haven't been adding any on anyway which is quite decent of them) Should I get in touch to find out more? Can I get in touch to find out without giving them some rope to hang me with? or should I just hang tight?

This is about action being taken in the UAE. So nothing to worry about just dont go there or any other GCC country.

Initially yes and gave up pretty quickly as they're not interested. had some standard mails from IDR which dried up. that's about it - had some mails and a couple of letters from another one fishing as well I haven't spoken to any of them.

the words in your letter are identical to several of my letters...dont worry its just copy and paste. they have pick and mix templates.... and they've disappeared from hassling me ( no emails for a year now)

yes steer clear of GCC countries. If your getting mails from the bank it means its moved back from the debt collectors here. I got it initially from IDR....then the bank for a year and then some other bunch.

bear in mind credit shield, even if they allowed you to claim it would only cover you for 6 months or so (whatever the rules were in the small print) I dont know if the affects what you are claiming or not. I just thought id bring it up.

I dont think you were worried and Im certainly not having a go. Its easy to see your not bothered. Im not goign to say I find that normal but Im just stating the facts as I see it. I too have a couple of UAE debts so have been paying attention to the forum and the advice given that's all.

I think you've been annoying and provoking IDRWW with your online messages etc saying they can do nothing....this has prompted them to make this happen as there can be no financial reason. you then haven't stood up for yourself in a legal way which has made it like a default. oh well on the positive side you are now on way to it being in the past now

unclebulgaria. why would they need to do multiple people with no realistic chance of getting money to prove a point? Here they have someone who posts under their real name on a forum that they (IDR) watch and can simply make an example of him, easy.

I wonder what is there motivation here? I remember you said you had no assets or am I imagining this?

What about the various bodies you've been talking to who have said IDR can't do naff all?
