  1. Ignore Link, don’t call them. It’s only a £200 default . Mind you I’d be giving the same advice if it was £10,000. Don’t get into any payment plans with them either, just let the statute barred clock start ticking. In a year that default will be irrelevant anyway in terms of your credit history.
  2. Yup time to complain to the ICO, if you didn’t already.
  3. Might be worth sending Vanquis an SAR too. That could shed some light on this. @andyorch I’m not sure if the OP got that info from their credit file or from Vanquis themselves.
  4. Not all of them, most of my family are democrats die hard. But my wife’s family , the men think Trump is great and that the democrats would do anything to unseat their great leader. I got one friend who is tweeting stupid conspiracy theories also, things like pictures of a grave yard, and jo Biden saying thanks for the votes guys! Although to cheer you up a Reuter’s poll has shown 80% of the US believes Biden won, including 60% of Republicans.
  5. Doesn’t matter, they are just phishing , looking on your credit file and using the address that they find. That means they could legally send a claim form to your old address and you’d know nothing about it until you found a CCJ! Informing them in writing of your current address takes that risk away completely .
  6. You are preaching to the converted here. Sadly I have lots of friends and family in the US who think Biden stole the election. Some are being quite public about it on Facebook.
  7. https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/architects-registration-board https://complaints.arb.org.uk/ If they really are architects as individuals, the leverage you may have would be through something like this. Of course that relies on them being legitimate architects in the first place.
  8. Damn looks like they stay in business by phoenixing into another company. Is there a register of architects, or a trade organisation that they would be members of, where you can make a complaint?
  9. Just some self employed debt collector, who has zero legal powers. Don't even bother answering the door, that's if they do turn up. Jan 2022 it will be statute barred anyway. You could also send a CCA request, it seems unlikely they will be able to produce one for a debt that old.
  10. Trump is indeed dumb as rocks , perhaps the real fear is if a Future smarter, slicker, wannabe Idi Amin wanted to instigate a coup, he’d have a pretty good precedent .
  11. Oh no, I am so sorry, I've been called numerous times by this outfit, it's an absolute con. The way they threaten arrest over the phone, is very intimidating.
  12. As an aside this is a fascinating and disturbing thread on Twitter worth a few minutes of your time
  13. As I said much is true about Johnson, but Johnson is not doing this. 1 Denying Covid exists , deliberately running super spreader events . 2. Not intervening at all to stop Covid spreading. 3.Throwing out racist dog whistles 4. Encouraging violence 5 Actively discouraging mask use 6 Preaching out random dangerous conspiracy theories, Plenty of other reasons why he isn’t comparable in any way other than superficially. Not saying Johnson isn’t awful, but it’s just ridiculous to try and compare apples and oranges here.
  14. I do think that it's wrong to compare Johnson and Trump, there are many reasons for this, both personality wise and actions that have been taken, although it is tempting to go down that route. It's also worth taking a look outside of the English language bubble and see what's going on in places like Switzerland at the moment, in terms of the pandemic their response is far more laissez faire than even the US. In fact no European Country seems to be a particularly shining example of what we should be doing better at the moment. Not to say that our response hasn't been a shambles but context is always a good thing.
  15. He's doing that knowingly and deliberately. And even when he's gone and slung out of the White House, he will keep doing it.
  16. As long as PRA have your current address, you have very little to worry about. Only thing to act on would be a Letter Before Action. The chance of this happening at this stage is low enough to put to the back of your mind.
  17. In other news there is stuff and all he can do, aside from ignore the pandemic, which is what he's been doing all along anyway. If he wants, the US government can come and remove him by force, which honestly would be the best piece of TV ever. He can't do anything stupid militarily because Biden / Harris are now in the decision loop. All he can do is spread his BS and hold rallies.
  18. I just do a bit of twitter scrolling. Having lived in Canada a while I used to take a big interest in US politics. I find this site very informative since 2007 www.dailykos.com follow Nate Silver, Dave wasserman, Nate Cohn, Harry Enten on Twitter www.fivethirtyeight.com also. Basically he’s bang on to overtake Trump in Pensylvania and win by a large margin. Georgia a very narrow margin.
  19. Trump is done, he’s going to lose Pennsylvania and Georgia. He’s desperate, Biden will be the winner by tomorrow at the latest. Trump can whine all he wants but it’s curtains for him.
  20. Wasn’t there another case with Express Solicitors on here back in the summer . They tried to pull the same thing on her and she’s defending it in court.
  21. Send confirmation of your address to Lowell in writing. Then SAR to Npower, that will tell you what you need to know. Once Lowell have your current address it’s safe to ignore anything else from them. Short of a Pre action protocol letter of course. Although it’s highly unlikely they will ever attempt this.
