suzibear already got the forms from jobcentre, and my business advisor as signed them so just need to get them in the post on monday morning, also need to ring for tax credits to confirm date of self employment as i have already been in touch with them.

i was told by a mate that the return to work credit takes about 2 weeks to get sorted and the job grant took a month to come through. Im still not sure what day to end my claim.

ok so would i end my claim say the 20th , the lady i spoke to said i will get my 2week payment on the 21st and to ring back then and end the claim or could i do it from say monday that i went self employed? Sorry if im confusing you x

i have no idea thats what they told me when i rang them up on thursday to find out when my sick note ended. Tink i will give them another ring in the morning to find out what is going on, does this mean i may be in the clear and be able to get my return to work credit? and thanks for your help x

i did think that my claim was up this thursday but when i rang them they said my sick note runs out on the 21st. i am confused with sick notes, i was first signed off on march 16 th for 4 weeks then april 13th for 4 weeks then may 11th for five weeks. does my claim start from the day i was signed off? when was/is my 13th week incase i have got dates wrong

Hi all i am currently on esa my sick note runs out next week. I have been currently getting ready to go self employed, so as of next week i will end my esa claim, i was due to have a medical last week, my firend had agreed to take but their car had broke down so i couldnt get there. I rang and rearranged my appointment for today, except yesterday i hurt my back while trying to some work in the garden, i rang first thing this morning to sy i couldnt get to the medical, and was told i was not able to change the appointment and i still had to attend, i informed the girl on the phone i could not even stand up straight let alone attempt several bus journeys and then a walk to the centre. I am now in a bit of a panic as i was coming off esa next week anyway, but i know i will hear from the esa people as to why i didnt attend the medical, i am worried as once i come of esa i was going to apply for return to work credit as i will have no money until the business gets going. Would they stop my esa from today? Would be greatful of any help

Hi there i need some advice about ending my claim for esa. My sick note runs out thursday of next week, after talks with my dr i am going self employed. Now i had a my usual payment yesterday from esa, so i am owed one week for next week is that right? I am looking to claim working tax credit and back to work credit which i have got forms for from the jobcentre. Now is it better if i end my claim on thursday as that is my last day on my sick note, or should i do it before? Bit worried as still need that final payment from them until other money has been sorted out.

I am going self employed in the next few weeks, and was wondering how long it takes to process the back to work credit?

Hi i need some advice i have been on jsa since september of last year, before that had esa 3mths, jsa before that for 7mths. I have been signed off by my dr last friday for stress, so filled book in and returned to job centre. I then rang to make a claim for esa to go through some of the questions to be told as this was my second claim in 12 mths i had to wait until i received the paper forms, this was last friday . I was signed off with stress/depression due to family stuff going on because i claimed before am i going to have problems this time around? Was off before with back pain, since then i have been diagnosed with chronic back pain, but am looking at going self employed.

Hi there i had a car with welcome finace payed all up thank god, but i am wondering if i can claim back my ppi they said i had to have or i couldnt take the car -these were their words and i have witness to this. I cant find my original cca has have moved a couple of times since then, not sure where i am even to write to, can anyone help with this please?

Enhanced CRB and working with children or around children they usually just tend to check certain registers, mostly POVA and POKA so if you son hasnt been charged with any asaults on children or elderly people it should be fine, but when completeing the form he would have done well by telling his employer.

Sorry i ment that would that be ok to claim under that reason if i couldnt make a claim? or can i claim because im being moved because of health reasons,if im confusing you im very sorry lol just paniking a bit as i am in a fully furnished flat so have nothing and im unemployed

Thanks Erika the council are moving me as i have medical needs and struggle with the stairs to my flat, when i first moved in was fine but not any more. Not sure if im income based jsa or not will have to look through paper work, i was on esa last year from may until september would that count as well? Mnay thanks sara

Hi all i was wondering if anyone can help me with this,i am currently in private accomodation and have been today offered a council place becuase i have an on going back problem. where i live is no longer suitable 37 stairs and no lift. any way im on jsa i have never claimed a community grant before, i have no furniture of my own and no money, am i able to claim one, how long do they take? I am viewing the flat tomorrow morning im intending to take it as also having problems with people in the flat underneath me. Is there a set amount they give out? i need everything so im not sure what to put down apart from bed, washing machine fridge freezer etc, and microwave at least can fee myself until i can afford a cooker. Sorry for all the questions any help would be fab x

Hi all, need some advice please, been unemployed just over a year, have been applying for temp xmas jobs, one place was advertised as 16 hours, turns out its only 8 hours a week. Now im worried if i get the job that i will lose money from jsa,and poss housing benefit, can i reject the job on the grounds of not enough hours?

You would still need a CRB check as it would be classed as working with children
