  1. Sorry do you mean there might be this device? It would be perfect.
  2. Oh well I guess its pull the wires out and do a manual call back every month then.
  3. Thanks for your reply So basically if you don't have a telephone line you can't have multi room? Is that correct? Can anyone else confirm this?
  4. I hardly use my landline aside from Broadband so the connection for BT comes in at the front door and finishes there. The Sky box is a good 30 meters from there downstairs and same upstairs. I got a engineer out to wire it for me but was quoted a nice tidy some and also told that the wires would be visible as I don't have carpets or places for the wires to be hidden. I don't wanna get this done. So every month Sky sends me a letter and I hook it up through a extension to call each box in. Lasts a month then Sky again sends me a letter. Highly annoying! Is there anyway to avoid this?
  5. I have a Limited company too which is operated by the family. I can buy under that if need be. In fact would be better. How will leasing through that work?
  6. Also if you can write off the full rental in your tax return then why do people only claim the VAT portion of it?
  7. Say you use it for 50/50 so then can you only claim half the rental from your company? What if I use two cars for work? One for the dirty work (hatchback) and one for the executive side of it. Can I claim both in proportion or shall I only claim one full? BTW thank you for your very quick and helpful replies.
  8. I was just looking on the HMRC website and it says I don't have to register for VAT unless my business does over 75k turnover. I am a Landlord so my turnover is not that much yet. So say I make 20k profit and the rental is 5k. Would I write of 5k as expense and only pay tax on 15k? Would you know if you have to use the car for business purpose or can it be a executive car for the owner?
  9. Sorry if this is not the right forum. I am self employed and am thinking of leasing a car. The garage have advised me that I can claim the VAT back from the contract rental through my business. Would anyone know how this works? Can I also claim the cost of the lease too or just the VAT? So how exactly would it work? Sorry new to this stuff so say my rental is £400 + Vat so simply I take off the £80 VAT from my profit or how?
  10. What you mean they will honor the 5 year NCD? So when my year finishes will I still have 5 year NCD if I move to a new company?
  11. I think I tick all of these for a lender aside for 6 year history as I went onto the electrol roll a few years ago.
  12. I thought I had decent credit history. Got a loan for 20k from my bank 2 years ago and paid it off without a single default. Paid of a 40 k car within 2 years 3 years ago and never defaulted on a single payment. Have 2 credit cards with 20k limit and around 3k outstanding which I pay off a good amount every month. My income more then covers the £200 lease payment for the car I wanted. Only thing is I am not on the electrol roll from before 2009. Between 2002-2009 I worked abroad on and off and didn't see the point in voting. Now I have moved to a new house last summer so been at my new property for a year. My property residential history is 11 years at previous address and 1 year at new one. What could be causing Amex credit card and Car finance company to deny me credit? Checked my credit history and no negatives there although it does not show my Mortage on there but I read that banks sometimes pass on this info only if I start to default?
  13. A friend of mine lost his licence for a year and then didn't bother buying a car for another year. Now he has bought a car and his Insurance company says that he has lost his 5 years no claims bonus as he was uninsured for two years. Is that true? Anyway around this?
  14. Say if I bought a ticket from BMI last year for travel later on this year. They have now been bought out by BA. Now when I bought the ticket I was told that I could make changes to it for £20 per change. Now we are being told that no changes are allowed. You either fly it or you can cancel it for a fee. But when I bought it I was told it flexible. Does BA have a right to make changes to contracts that were all ready done? BMI accepted my money and told me their ticket change guidelines. Now BA is saying we will not honor those. Shouldn't BA book me on one of their flights? Do I as a consumer have any say in this?
  15. I don't understand. So you are saying that the £40 gesture of goodwill that your CS department offered me on Sunday is all that I am gonna get? What about the £50 less that the product has become since I bought it (even though this promotion was active the day that I bought it) surely I should get this £50 back too?
  16. Hmmm.... I took this screen picture on Saturday evening the day I bought the TV. I also saw this displayed in store at the Newcastle branch on Thursday afternoon which was pointed out to me by a very nice older gentleman who works for Curry Newcastle city center store. Do you see what I mean? There are holes in the entire defense by curry's. Anyway if you can refund the additional £40 then I would be willing to forgive and forget.
  17. Thank you for your reply and I do appericate your response. Can you advise why I was not offered this £50 off that was available in store and also online on the day of my purchase? I was only given £10 discount. I have also pointed this out to the manager when I went in the next day and he said that he would get back to me but he hasn't yet. You got to admit as a customer I have full right to feel hard done. i should have been charged £199. but instead paid £239 P.S First Order placed through B&Q instead of your company for Bosch HBN13B261B Electric Double Oven @ £703
  18. Say it how you want Paul but I have been ripped off. I was told that the website can not offer me a better deal on those products that were not on a special web only price. That is in fact correct. Are you denying that? No! As these were not website only specials. Your company reserves the right to have offers on which are only for its website. I asked in store if this TV was one of those that I might get a better offer online. He checked and advised me that it was not. Fault or no fault the product was cheaper by £100 online when I checked at home the night I bought the TV. It was still cheaper for the next 3 days. Any normaly customer who bought that would have got it at that price. Am I right in this? I will be taking this further with the advertising standards authority and also my citizens advice bureau. I have proof of this for the last 3 days and also your manager in Currys Newcastle admitted that the price should not be cheaper online. Further to all of this, your companies attitude to all this has convinced me to never buy from Curry's again. I am in a trade which means I need to buy 3-4 things off you every month. The manager in Newcastle store promised a call back and has he yet??? No. Its easy taking the customers money and saying we can't help you out anymore. Try getting that customer through your doors again is the hard part. I for one will make sure that I talk to as many people about this experience. If I could that TV would be back at your door 2 days back. Its just unfortunate that I am now stuck with it. I was commited something by your sales agent and that's all I am asking to be honored. He guaranteed me that this product would not be cheaper online. It was.
  19. I paid for the assembly when I bought the goods, does that make any difference?
  20. Paul has replied back saying they will not increase their offer of £40. Forget that. Would rather give my business to a more loyal company. Can I still return my stuff? I can't can I as they assembled it when they delivered it?
