  1. God is it really that much?? Shocking! I can't help with your query - just giving ou a bump and some moral support.
  2. Credit card issued by MBNA? There is a forum in Other Institutions - going after them myself. Have just sent my SAR. You can go for this one at the same time as your claim against Barclays if you want to - no reason why not!
  3. Yes that's right. Just my attempt to settle this claim - DLA can take it or leave it!
  4. Read the FAQ - it will all become clear http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/faqs-please-read-these/ Your first letter is the preliminary request for repayment...but please read up first.;-)
  5. Mr Denham must have me on ignore..no reply to my email. Maybe he won't take me seriously til I file my AQs - gotta wait til wednesday (pay day) - my fave day of the month
  6. Not invisible! The site is very busy these days! If you don't get a reply, just keep bumping your message up, or if it's urgent, and you can't find the answer in the FAQs or other threads, and you have had no repsonse, PM a mod. It's not personal, my threads don't get much traffic either! Will keep an eye on your thread and help if i can

Send off your prelim. Your claim can be amended up until you file at court - so still plenty of time for your missing statement to arrive. I can't help with the other question, I'm afraid - anyone else?
  8. Go Janey!! Hugs - well done and very best wishes x
  9. SAR sent today for account opened 4 years ago. Have no idea - can't even guess how much I've paid in charges.
  10. (bu&&er! just noticed I spelled acknowledge wrong! Not v. professional!) I doubt he'll notice - Mr Denham is going to be very busy this week..
  11. I would say that as long as your charges are listed in a coherent and logical way, it shouldn't matter how you send them. Just my humble opinion...
  12. Agreed. It is complicated and some people here have chosen not to bother, as it may not amount to very much. It's your call. You could just calculate the 8% interest on your charges as per the spreadsheet. But remember to omit your claim for interest from your prelim and LBA letters. This is added only when you file your claim at Court. Hope that makes sense.
  13. Not soppy...it's a great feeling, isn't it?
  14. Claim for the £950, that's what they've taken in charges. They will no doubt refund whatever the account balance is to your card and then refund the rest in a cheque. But your claim should be for the full amount they have taken in charges
  15. Hi LIP Thanks for your reply. Looks like I got the form for claims that may be considered for fast track. Oh well. mine's got to be submitted by 3 sept. been keeping an eye on your thread..I admire your tenacity. Best of luck!!
  16. Bump. Anyone else had AQ N149? Should i be "bovvered"?
  17. Strange...tell us more! What stage was he at? Prelim? LBA? And who did he speak to?
  18. It's a standard letter. Stick to your timetable and send the LBA when the deadline for the prelim letter is up. Don't worry!
  19. Thankyou, that's kind. When I got my pay out from Halifax, I decided to pay off my arrears with Cap One, it was only a small amount, and I'll get in back when cap one settle. I didn't know how to deal with the phone calls. After every call I would be upset, shaking etc. I work long hours and my kids were taking some of the calls. the youngest were getting distressed and I just wanted it to stop! I'm sure your advice will be helpful to others who are going through the same harrassment. Thanks again x;)

Yes indeed!! I claimed for DD reversed fees. These enraged me more than any other charge. Got charged £35 from my current account and then £20 from Cap One. Over the top and unreasonable.
  21. Letter received yesterday. I got all excited thinking this was THE letter. sadly no, just a reply from our friend Mr Udy. Apparently he is disappointed that I have rejected his kind offer and that I intend to pursue my claim through the Courts (did that weeks ago)...however his offer of £216 still stands. Bless. They have til 2 Sept to defend...
