  1. Wow...!! Well done old chap..so much good news in such a short space of time. Congrats
  2. I opened a NatWest Step account. It's a basic cardcash accountbut is fine Also they don't do a credit check for this one.
  3. Just stalling tactics, lots of us have had much the same. Continue with your court claim when your LBA deadline runs out. I wouldn't bother contacting them, you won't get anywhere.
  4. So I take it you'll be filing your claim then?!
  5. Goodness me, they really did leave it til the last minute, didn't they? I bet your nerves were in shreds! At least you can relax a bit now as karnevil says. Best of luck !
  6. Looks like we're claiming for similar amounts. I got an offer of £216 the day before my LBA ran out (they claim not to have received my prelim, but I know they did!). Good luck..almost there, soon be my turn.
  7. Mine was filed on 29th, so will be watching your threads closely
  8. There's a template letter for credit cards in the library .
  9. Cool!! Yes I would wait for the cheque to arrive!
  10. Please could someone check my understanding of the next steps? MCOL deemed served 22 July. MCOL acknowledged - so they have 28 days from 22 July to file a defence? If they do, i will recieve AQ's and a copy of their defence? if they don't, I can ask for judgement by default? - Is this when they ask for a "set aside?" Received standard letter from DLA requesting details of sum claimed - can I email this? or is a posted copy preferable? Thanks
  11. Hello Rayo, been reading your thread with interest - thank goodness you've got a result at last! Enjoy!!
  12. Thanks. This is what I have written - what do you think? and will do MCOL tonight. I refer to your letter dated 21 July 2006, received yesterday, 26 July 2006. Whilst you state that you did not receive my letter dated 28 June 2006, I can confirm that it was sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery on 28 June, and that Royal Mail have confirmed safe delivery to your office on 29 June 2006. Whilst I am willing to accept the sum of £216 as partial settlement of my claim, is my intention to pursue the full amount through the Courts, to the time scale detailed in my previous letters dated 28 June 2006 and 13 July 2006.
  13. Update: Sent LBA 13 July, so it runs out today... However yesterday when i got home from work there was the dtandard letter from Mr Udy offering me £12 per charge. he also apologised for not replying to my prelim, apparently he didint receive it - thank goodness i sent it special delivery!! My question is this: Do I respond to his letter rejecting his offer? (if so how should I word it? -something along the lines of thanks but your time is up I'm pursuing the full amount through the Courts) or Do I go straight to Money claim? or Both??
  14. Hiya I had no repsonse to my prelim, but a response to my LBA arrived yesterday. Apparently they didnt receive my prelim!! That's rubbish cos I sent it special delivery and so I know it arrived.
  15. Just the months with charges.
  16. The schedule is the spreadsheet. Don't include the column detailing interest until you file your claim with the court. I took the bit about interest out of my prelim so that it read thus: I calculate that you have taken £xxx which you have charged me in Over Limit, Late Payment fees and Reversed Direct Debit fees. I enclose a schedule of the charges which I am claiming with this letter.
  17. I'm in the same situation as you. I amended my LBA to include charges they had added and when I come to fill in my money claim on thurs, I will again include charges added this month. My understanding is that you can continue to add charges until you file your claim with the court.
  18. I kept getting same error message - my mistake was that the text ran over 24 lines - it looks like that's the same in your case. I had to delete a few words/spaces to squeeze the text into 24 lines. Good luck
  19. I'm no expert, but I would send the prelim by special delivery. Then there's no chance of them saying it hasn't been received. It costs £4.10 to send it, but at least you get peace of mind. With an email, it could just get ignored/deleted and you won't be able to prove receipt. Laura
  20. Nice one! I keep getting hassled by them om the phone too - will follow your wife's example!!
  21. Well done!! Over the moon for you! I'm going to be sending my LBA to Cap One on Wednesday...fingers crossed. Quick Question: Did they refund the money to your Cap one credit card or to your bank account?
