  2. hi chris, i have a council tax bill if that puts you on the electoral roll i dont know, come to think of it ive never had a polling card so maybe you could be right, it could also be that i sent my halifax statements with umpteen charges on it, perhaps that was it, and unfortunately i dont have a debit/credit card to do the credit file online but i will send them a postal order and get it that way, I dont suppose i could use my mums debit card to get the file??? that may be seen as fraud thanks for your reply chris
  3. thanks barracad i feel better now thank you so much roll on monday:D
  4. barracad i have just been refused a nat west step account and i applied online. it could be that i have stopped paying on my dmp that has caused the problem when its all up and running again i will apply again. they did say that once i get my credit report, and if everything looks in order(as it can be on my credit file) then i am to go into the branch of natwest with my credit report and my debt management plan details and they will look at it again.
  5. ive been having a rethink and wonder whether i should re send my letter before action, i would like to email them and ask them if they have received my letter before action. if they havent i would feel much better if I sent it again and used special delivery, its just so i feel confident that they have received it. I know colour me happy that you said it is possible that they had a bulk delivery, but im just a little unsure about going ahead with the court action, and then the halifax turning around to say they never received my letter before action so therefore i havent given them the right amount of time to sort it out so to speak any advice greatly appreciated, i dont really want to ring them cause im a mumbling idiot when confronted lol i would just like to correspond with them through email or mail. help me pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee thank you
  6. i would just like to point out that i have been refused a nat west step account and a co op cashminder account, and this is to do with my credit file as i was told by the peeps on the phone. I phoned them and they said that something may be on my credit file which made the "computer says no" (i can just imagine them being like that at the bank as little britain portray them LOL) im going to have a look at my credit file, I must admit as i moved i stopped paying on my debt management plan, stupid mistake i know but have come to my senses and restarted it, im assuming that this is probably why no one at the banks will touch me with a barge pole, oh apart from barclays and they were one of the creditors i owe and one of them i stopped paying, im a bit afraid to put money in it for fear they may take it to cover my barclaycard debt, but i have added them to my dmp now.
  7. yes letter before action goes off now, and add to it that you accept the £384 only as part payment to the full amount you are requesting. as for your bits at the bottom at the top of the page is "user cp" click on that then edit signature type in the box how far you have got etc then save and every time you post anything it will be at the bottom hope this helps good luck
  8. just spoke to a nice lady at the royal mail, she confirmed that its not been delivered yet which i knew anyway, i told her it was to the halifax bank and she said it may have been delivered with a load of bulk items, mmm wonder how that could be lololol. and that the company has a sheet which they just send to the royal mail confirming delivery of all the recorded items, so *probably it has been delivered as said by colourme happy thanks, and im going to continue my court proceedings on monday as then there time is up.
  9. oh sorry wondered why it was different lol not sure on that one then hopefully someone else can help with the credit card im sure it is the same procedure but wouldnt like to give you wrong information so dont quote me good luck in your quest
  10. hi is this the reply from the dpa request, asking for 6 years worth of statements, did you use the templates in the library, seems a funny reply for a dpa request? yes you are entitled to all of it as they are unlawful charges
  11. ditto,, you are in charge!!!! feel the power it is soooooooo good lol good luck with yours
  12. hi molly from reading your posts it looks like you have sent your preliminary letter, have you given them 14 days to reply, from your preliminary letter, if so then now send your letter before action giving them another 14 days, go to the template library and adjust the letter before action accordingly to you, stating thank you for your letter dated blah blah blah and put in somewhere where you see fit accepting the payment but only as part payment and will continue to pursue the rest throught the court. this is what i have done, personally i wouldnt accept anything but the full amount, and reading other peoples posts they eventually settle in full. plus interest plus court fees!! they do leave it up to the last minute to pay up ie before the court date, but i think it is well worth the wait. but at the end of the day it is entirely up to you. go over the faq again and the step by step guide, i read it everyday lol just to make sure im doing it right good luck in your decision and hope this helps
  13. sue, i second your remarks, its like reading something i would of wrote lol good luck in your quest
