  1. Don't know, haven't heard anything from them (and hopefully won't) for ages. They're either getting ready to take me to court or they've sent it back. The only standard threats I'm getting are for the other account. A.
  2. I haven't communicated with them for ages. I think they've finally realised that they can't get me by phone now as I've had to change my number (mainly because of them harassing me, even after they said they deleted the number, passed the number to another DCA, then got it all back from that DCA, and started ringing again). Yeah, the letters are pretty standard, same ones time and again, same pattern. Thanks, A.
  3. Earlier int he thread you'll find that I told them to remove my number, they then said they'd deleted it from their files, they then passed it onto another DCA, who then started ringing. A.
  4. Another letter, this is a "Subsequent notice of arrears" saying they've put a default on file. They keep ringing, I keep ignoring them, they've breached data protection (I've still not written em a letter to complain about that ) by giving details to another company, why won't they just fek off? What do I need to do now? A.
  5. Wish it was here, they keep ringing and sending letters. I must get around to sending some sort of harassment letter inc. the data protection breach!!! A.
  6. They gone bust? What...a...shame! But they do keep ringing me, even though they destroyed all copies of my number and also passed on the number to third party's breaching data protection, tut tut! Arf!
  7. Well, here's a turn up. Got a letter from BCW this morning: I wonder what this means? Let's see: Wait a few days and start getting more letters/calls from BCW? They pass it back to RWC and continue getting more letters/calls from them? Gets pass it back to Sainsburys and continue getting more letters/calls from them? They've all added defaults and I'm screwed? Get taken to court or something? What do people think? Thanks, A.
  8. When I received a dodgy looking HSBC letter from RWC, I didn't keep the envelope even though it was the usual "airmail" looking one that RWC always use (the blue chevrons around the edge). Is this a problem? Thanks, A.
  9. Yes, it would be useful if there was some info on using this tool, it's not just thicko's who have problems with it, it's also not so thicko's too Ta, A.
  10. They sound about as pleasant as RWC! Anyways, just sent em a CCA, so let's wait to see what they have to offer Thanks, A.
  11. I can only assume that Cabot should have a Notice of Assignment from HSBC? If they don't have this, that's it for them, right? I never received any NoA from HSBC via registered post, which is required from them, AFAIK. Thanks, A.
  12. As always Sounds good enough to me But, does it apply to overdraft facilities? Thanks, A.
  13. Well, it seems the previous letter from them about this account was dated January 2008, so almost a year. I also didn't S.A.R. HSBC regarding this account nor have I sent them a letter asking why they sold an unenforceable debt to Cabot. Should I do this still? Also, they mention that the CCA doesn't apply to current accounts; this account was entirely overdraft so surely that does, right? Will, try to find something I can meld into a letter for HSBC over the next few days. Thanks, A.
  14. This is fraud. You know who the suspect is. Your local coppers should've sent someone to see you to take the details and given you a crime number. Cabot will probably wait a bit and then send another letter to you asking for payment. Get back to the coppers and tell them to do their job. A.
  15. Should I consider seeing a solicitor for this? A.
  16. This is definitely fraud (there is no long any obtain cash by deception as it's covered by the new fraud laws). Send a letter to the big wig copper in your area, CC in everybody (MP, TS, Ombudsman, press, etc. and the DCA). Basically, your local cop shop should've sent someone to talk to you (not a copper, plain clothes afaik) and to get a statement. Archangel.
  17. Well, they told me they were going to sue, they obviously haven't as they've passed it onto another DCA, so either they know they can't win or they just don't want to spend the cash on it, I dunno. But back to this, I need to read through the act itself so I quote some niceties for them Archangel.
  18. Hi, RWC stated they deleted my phone number, they then continued to call on it. Now, it seems they've sold the account to BCW who've been calling me on it. Now, surely this is a breach of the Data Protection Act? Thanks, Archangel.
  19. Make sure that any letters you send are sent special delivery, that way they have to sign for it and you can track it to make sure they have received it. Recorded delivery, even though they are supposed to sign for it, a lot of places don't as the postman won't ask for a signature. Make sure it's traceable. A.
  20. I think I shall send a letter to RWC as a complaint about them phoning me even after stating that they deleted it and also for passing it onto another company. Think I'll also CC in this new bunch of anchors into it too Looks like I'll be CCA'ing and SAR'ing them, shame I just cand 'em SARS and be done with it all A.
  21. Ok, some news, got a phone call on 24/12/08 which turns out to be a company called BCW group. Got a letter today from Buchanan, Clark + Wells: So, are these related to RWC in any way (i.e. a legal arm of the same)? Looks like I have to Subject Access Request them and start again then? Oh fun! And I take it the threat of being put on a sue list by RWC was all lies as well Thanks, Archangel.
  22. Got a letter from Cabot on Christmas Eve: WTF? A.
  23. Yup, this I found from google. Now, do they do "work" for RWC? Ta, A.
  24. I already sent them the telephone harassment letter, these calls are since that and the subsequent "after our investigation...it's been deleted...blah blah" Maybe I should send them a harassment warning, a la DMD as well as a SAR for the phone log. Please see my other threads, as there is a Q on one of them about RWC using an 0800 number as well, I need to know if it's them as well (it's Telegen really, but...). Ta, A.
