Hi Wardo. Good luck in your quest and let me know how you get on. There are alot of abbreviaions here and once you have read through some of the threads you get to know what each one means. If you have any problems, just ask.

Hi Rhia, I thought that photocopying your passport was illegal! I have done a photocopy of my drivers licence instead and a copy of my recent gas bill. I have also added to the letter about the previous letter sent and that the 40 days start from the date of that letter. I will also the ICo bit aswell. Thanks again for your help and I will let you know how I get on.

Hi to all, I sent my SAR letter off to MBNA 26.02.07 and, according to the Royal Mail website, they received it 27.02.07. MBNA sent a letter to me dated 05.03.07 saying that they were currently investigating my complaint. I phoned them on 09.03.07 to inform them that I wasn't complaining yet and that all I wanted was copies of my statements. They proceeded to inform me that if I wanted copy statements it would cost me £2.50 per statement and that all I was entitled to for my £10.00 was a transaction list (he also said that he will be sending my £10.00 cheque back with the transaction list). I was also told that I would have to send in two forms of i.d!!! I replied to them by saying "So if I send in a photograph of myself, you will know that it was me!" he replid by saying "that is the rules". Currently sending another SAR letter, another £10.00 and 2 forms of i.d. If they cash in both £10.00 cheques I will claim both back!

Hi Netty, Nothing in my PM box still. PM stands for private messages doesn't it? Am I looking in the right place? Private message box is empty. I tried to PM you but it said that your box is full and couldn't deliver. -
Also, (sorry to be a pain). My husband had an account with Barclays. This was closed December 1991 and I know that he paid a hell of a lot of charges. Has anyone managed to obtain copy statements that far back?

Hi to all, My husband had an account with the Woolwich back in 1991/92. I have managed find his statements from Sept 1991 to March 1992 and have calculated that he was chaged £440.00 for returned cheques in this period. I have tried to read through this thread and so far have got to page 27. Please could someone let me know if he can claim these back? He no longer has the account anymore, but as I said earlier I have his statements. Also I am a bit confused regarding interest:confused: . How, if I can claim, do I calculate the contractual interest? PLease, please help.:o

Hi Rhia thanks for the above but when I phoned them yesterday they said that they will be sending my cheque for £10 back. Shall I wait for this to return or shall I hit them now with the above and send them a new cheque?

Hi netty, Nothing in my box as yet. -
Hi Rhia, Do you have a letter template I can use for this?
-
I remember saying to the chap "so if I send a photo of myself to you, you will know that it is me then"!!!! . He just replied by saying that that was the rules. I will copy my drivers licence now and send it first class today, just incase. Many thanks Cornucopia.

Just received a letter from Halifax saying that the FSA gives them 8 weeks in which to reply to my complaint and that they will try and reply in the next 4 weeks. Is this the standard letter that everyone receives? Do I just keep to my timetable where the LBA to be sent on 19th?
