Hi all,

would it be a wise move when applying for a stay to be lifted to mention the facts that the oft case is not necessarily going to happen anymore?

And as an additional fact that this is because Lloyds TSB has halved their charges, (well anyway if more banks follow suit) which in my eyes proves that the charges have been excessive all along.

I am fighting HSBC on behalf of my girlfriend for the sum of £1678.00. the court case was set for today the 12th of september. when she arrived at the court she learned that the case had been stayed on the courts own motion. Even though HSBC had asked for a stay as well. we only received the letter of the stay today, while she had left for court already. not good as they have had plenty of time to decide to stay the case.

thanks in advance for your advice,

Peter

Hi peter, this has happened before with cases being stayed very late all I can suggest is to apply for the stay to be set aside and yes use all and any reasons you can think of including the OFT's ridiculous statements last week. heres the thread or you can look at my thread on the HSBC forum :)
