We are having a dispute with British Gas and have been since we moved into our new house 6 months ago. our supplier is Southern Electric but we keep having bills coming from B/G after spending hours on the phone and sending letters I had been promised no further letters would be sent,no such luck,they keep coming and now they coming to disconnect us this week, I have had enough now,I'm not wasting my money with phone calls anymore and am just going to wait until they come to disconnect.:mad:

 

They have even confirmed that this bill is not for our address.

 

Any ideas how to stop the letters? I think I have done everything possible but obviously not.

 

I will let you know what happens when they come to door,I just hope I am in.

Contact MPAS (see Good Energy - MPAS Numbers - the 100% renewable electricity supplier - committed to supporting independent renewable generators for the number) and get them to tell you who your supplier is, they're independent and will know who's supplied to to/from what date. Ask them for your MPAN (supply) number, then give this to BG to check against their records. I'm willing to bet it won't match the MPAN showing on the account you're billing them for. This should stop them trying to bill you, although you shouild still put all of the information to them in writing, asking for written comfirmation that they've cocked up.
