Have just received the judgement in the post which reads like this:

Before District Judge Steel sitting at Willesden County Court...

It is ordered that upon the Defendant having failed to comply with paragraph 3 of the order dated 12th July 2007, the Claimant do recover against the Defendant, the sum of £........ and the hearing fixed for the 8th October be vacated.

The order was given on the 27th September.

There is no mention on the form about the fees I have paid to the court totalling £220.

I am trying to contact the court now to ask but can't get through (as usual). Does anyone know if the court fees are usually mentioned on the order? I'm confused again:???:

Just got through to the court, they have told me that the costs i.e court fees are at the judges discretion as to whether he awards them or not and that I have to write to the judge who made the order to question it.

I thought I would automatically get the fees back if I won the case, does anyone know if this is right? still confused:???:

Hi Aude,

Have a look here - http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/general/66182-how-enforce-judgement.html

Reference is made to adding on your fees paid to court for claim. What the staff have just told you doesn't sound right.

No matter - how long now to wait before contacting BLT?

Politely, I hope.

The Court and it's Judges should always be treated with respect, even if you don't agree with a decision or the court staff.

Very polite:) but I did point out the mistakes the court staff have made so far re my fee and forms and how stressing it has been. I did 'politely ask that judge Steel be shown my letter though.

Surely not.

If your fees are included in the request for judgement, then they become part of the judgement.

I dont believe these clerks at times.

I Wish you everything you wish yourself.
