Hi All, I sent my letter recorded delivery to the Halifax on the 4th May, asking for a copy of all charges under the data protection act for my two current accounts. They rang to say I didn't need to send two cheques for two accounts, and that one cheque was sufficient. They said it was beign dealt with. I then heard nothing. I have rung today, and they have no record of any letter from me. They are already about 10 days over the 40 days they have under the data protection act. They have said they are going to send a letter for me, free of charge (!) to the business center and that I shoudl get my statements in 5-7 days. Anyone got any advice as to what I should do? Has anyone complained to the data protection act people about the Halifax? Or should I just wait another week? Cheers everyone...

You could wait another week....and another.....and another (repeat ad nauseum).

Just the FAQ’s ma'am. Please read 'em thoroughly before jumping in. Cheers :)

Being a man, I am always right (however I will make no admission of liability if you have misinterpreted my instructions!! :) ) If you are in any doubt, then consult a professional. All opinions offered on this site are just that, and should not be taken as legal advice.
