Hello,

Halifax have settled another amount of bank charges to us, and have stated that they will pay the money in within the next 5 working days. there is only 1 working day left, and we have not recieved anything yet.

Has anyone had any problems trying to call them? The telephone number on the letter from them (Mark O'Connor) is 01977 627292. Everytime I phone the number it answers straight away and you can hear talking in the background but nobody answers you?

Would just like to know, if anyone else is having the same problem?

We called Halifax Customer Relations and they stated that it will take 14 days and not 5. They would not put us through to Mr O'Connor either.

Look forward to any advice.

Still no money this morning. Wife spoke to them again, and they stated that they pass a slip to a cashier who credits the money into the account, and there is a huge backlog for this. He said by the end of the week we should have the money.

My wife kindly pointed out that they should state in the letter upto 14 days wait, instead of 5 days, and building up your hopes as such!

I will keep you updated.
