Don't know if this is relevant or not, my friend's sister works for a bank and my friend told her all about my campaign to get my charges refunded and this site, and asked her is she was aware of it. She said they have been snowed under with requests for refunds, her bank have been told that they are to stall as long as they can but then pay up at the court stage as there is no defence really. She also is in total agreement with this site and what we are all doing and told my friend to tell me to go for it! She also said that it costs £1.20 in costs to the bank if a DD or cheque bounces so she thinks the £30 odd quid we get lumbered with is appalling.

Can you tell us what bank she works for? That would be really helpful!!

Thanks for the info

In all seriousness though, thanks for that snippet - pretty much confirms exactly what most of us thought :)

Just a lucky guess, plus it seems to be exactly what Lloyds have been doing, judging on the ongoing claims on the Lloyds forum :)

She could then comply with Stonelaughter's suggestion!!
