Hi there I'm in the process of getting my charges back from Natwest but my Husband joined the account about 3 years ago making it a joint account. My question is that do we both have to claim for the charges or can I do it alone? Thanks in advance! :D

Under DPA, remember, or they'll fob you off with the "£5 a statement" cr@p. If they do, remind them max £10 for all of info under DPA. And don't just ask for statements, ask for all the info on your account including note showing manual intervention, if any!

Let us know how you get on.

Edited: You might want to follow your request in writing, just to be sure...

Oh no now I'm confused again! I have spoken to NW and they say it costs £5 for statements no matter how many you ask for.

I take it thats it better to ask for DPA as they will give you the Manual Intervention notes then? Think I will request the DPA notice for £10 instead then.....true moneysaver me trying to save a fiver! LOL!

I must say, I didn't contradict you when you said it was only £5 (well, I did, but pc crashed before I could send post, and I cdn't be bothered re-writing it all, ), but I was very dubious about it.

So yes, DPA letter, make sure you ask for a list of transactions and charges rather than statements alone. The template in the library, is rather good stuff
