The Light Brigade V's Barclaycard "WON"

In the post this morning i received a letter from Barclaycard

"In order for us to disclose information and to continue processing your request we will require your signed authorisation"

 

They have returned our letter with a received stamp of 4th Oct.

 

SSL in post #4 advised not to sign the request, should I return the signed letter now?

 

 

lol, typical barclays! Never sign anything when dealing with CCA enforcability, possiblity they will scan and copy onto the alleged agreement. have a read of the thread below, use digital signatures:

The case has been stayed, Is there a standard letter for me to send to the court for removal? Been out of the loop for a bit but hopefully back on the case now

Thanks Slick, I'll sort that out today.

Anyone know how ong it takes for a stay to be removed? or are they generally allremoved, have any been upheld for credit cards?

You should hear back in a week or two.

 

You may also contact BLT to ask if they will agree to have the stay lifted if the court declines; and to ask if they'd like to settle before this becomes active again in court (send them a copy of your updated SOC's).

I have delivered the letter requesting removal of stay. So wait and see now, I will contact BLT to see if I can squeeze a deal, anyone got a number?

Both letters received now offering the settlement in full as a gesture of good will. The mastercard was credited the next day and the money for the closed visa card account hit my bank account today.

Had a letter from the court in reply to my request for removal of the stay. The judge is not removing the stay and said the case will wait pending the OFT case??. I have had settlement anway but odd that the judge is not removing the stay?

Tis bonkers that the judge wouldn't remove the stay but WHO CARES now !!
