Hello,

My SAR has been sent (27/04) and I now await the data.

I had a mortgage with the woolwich from 1999 to 2004.

After taking the first advance, I took 2 further advances for home inprovements. As a result, I ended up with 3 accounts.

In 2001 I changed my banking arrangements and started paying the mortgage by cheque. I was often late or they took their time to process the payment on the account as the cheque would get stuck in the system.

As a result, although I paid every month, the payments were late and I was charged £35 per month across 3 accounts totalling £105 !!!

I have found 2 annual statements recently going back to 2001 and 2003 showing £105 in charges every month.

My estimate is that they took at least £3000 + they charged me 6% interest per annum compounded, as these charges were capitalised.

I am going to claim the charges, the interest they charged me and I am going to charge them compounded interest at 6% from 2001 to 2007.

Ha ha...

Watch this space.

1970.

It's going to be an interesting year...
