My partner received her cheque today but to only be paid into the current account she has which is in agreed overdraft by £300 ish.

Could Fatwest stop the overdraft facility once the chq was paid in??

Only asking as I was made redundant on Thursday without notice pay, redundancy, arrears of pay earned etc and no consultation period (despite 37 people also made redundant).

Every bit of cash is gonna be needed by us till I get my statutory monies (will still lose about £1800 boo hoo) from the Redundancy Payments office and take my company to an Employment Trib so it would be good to get an idea of anyone elses experience.

I assume you mean the cheque has been made out to your partner followed by the account number. This is normal for them to do this and its merely a way of preventing fraud. If you wish to pay the cheque into a different bank then it shouldn't be a problem, many others have done so.
