OH how i wish i had the proof that they have shut my account because of reclaiming bank charges successfully

I used to work for the Bank of Scotland up in Glasgow before it merged with Halifax (the BOS staff called them the Haliban!!!)& I am now a student nurse and after working for them for 4 years I am glad I left. I used to refund a lot of bank charges that authority was taken away when we merged with the Halifax. They are not customer focused at all and take it from an insider all they care about is profit. I used to be able to override credit score fails to grant a cutomer a Debt cons loan. The amount of flowers I got sent to the branch because I had helped people was unbelievable. Its always the people who can't afford to give who give the most.

 

Anyway 18 months after leaving I now owe them £10000 and its gone to two separate debt collectors I had 2 accounts one with BOS and one with Halifax. Can I claim back the charges applied to the account when they were at branch level? Or am I best leaving it alone as I have moved address and they dont know where I am and after 5 years it is written off? And guess what when they started to spiral out of control my old boss couldn't/wouldn't help!!!!!!!!! (mind he was a haliban)

lm now in the last leg so to speak.... off to the court on thursday, want to see if l can do this foc as lm on WFTC as money is very tight and l dont get paid til next week and l dont want them to think lve let them off the hook, plus the sooner l submit it the sooner l get my money back!!!!!

good luck with yours marilyn not that you will need luck, as to the courts i am on benefits, and because my letter was more than 28 days old they wouldnt accept it to be exempt, but thankfully, i put my income and outgoings in and they granted me mind you i was 52p over but they let me have the exemption.

it is entirely up to you, but believe me they will catch up with you, i made the stupid mistake of thinking the debt collectors wouldnt find me but they did at my new address, and if the charges on both accounts amount to more than what you owe, its a good way of clearing the debt, thats what i did and had some change,
