My wife has 2 accounts with the same branch of HSBC.

If this does get to court, would each account be treated individually, or would she as the customer be treated as one case? Neither account has over £5k in charges, but between them they do, and as I understand it, this makes a difference to the legal process?

As long as both a/c's are personal ie 1 isn't a business a/c, you can combine into 1 claim.

Over £5000 would mean fast track, where you could be liable for costs of up to £750, but the real advantage is there is Standard Disclosure, which mean s the banks would be forced to disclose a breakdown of their costs.

Somethimg, understandably, they are extremely loath to do and therefore tend to settle rather sharpish.

Hi Kermit Power.

I replied to this post on the other thread.

If you keep jumping from thread to thread and starting new ones for each post, then you will never know where to look for answers, and we won't know where you are.

Please start your own thread in the HSBC Bank Forum and make all your posts (questions and progress reports) regarding this claim in that thread.

That way, if you do need help, then we can tailor our responses to be more relevent to your claim.
