Hi everyone

My Santander 123 account was blocked last week and my savings are stuck with them. They just give me the same story over the phone, that I have to wait for their investigation and they can't give a timeline of when this might be done.

From the horror stories I read, I really need my funds to survive and really cannot wait for months and months with no ending in sight until they decide to release my money.

I have an idea as to why this has happened.

Starling decided to put a CIFAS on me for Application fraud back in September 2022 when they decided they didn't like me logging in from abroad and using my card abroad mostly. they decided I didn't live at the address I stated on application, in the UK.

I wasn't aware of the CIFAS until last week as I did a SAR and it showed up. Thing is I applied for the 123 account with Santander in Feb 2023 and it was approved in spite of having CIFAS warning (of which I was unaware).

last week Santander decided to block my account and keep my £9000 of savings. Oh and in the meantime HSBC decided they had to put Victim of Impersonation CIFAS too when I tried to open an account with them.

I'm about to challenge these CIFAS in County Court, but my most pressing challenge is how to get my funds back from Santander first.

I want to apply to County Court (via Money Claims Online) and get it.

I've looked through the forums on here for the proper procedure to claim my funds in County Court, but it's not very clear to me as to what this might be.

Could someone please point me to the right direction, so I can follow the correct procedure to claim my funds back in County Court

Many thanks.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

If you don't live in the UK or they can detect considerable foreign account access or transactions, then they will freeze accounts.

Have you been 100% accurate with the information you have provided to Santander?

We could do with some help from you.
