Hello everybody,

On the 19th August I sold a complete hot water tap on eBay.

Buyer paid me and sent it via evri/packlink

I need to start the ball rolling on a money claim online just not sure what I have to do first.

Do I need to send them a letter of complaint and wait a specified amount of time before I do go on the money claim system or as it's under the consumer rights act can I just go straight onto the mcol system?

After two days of my parcel being sent it was posted on the eBay packlink thread as damaged they have them lost the parcel which was worth £550 brand new but I sold it £350 for the amount I sold on eBay.

The tap was brand spanking new quettle and tank so to replace it would cost £550 or do u just have grounds to claim the £350?

I didn't go through with the extra insurance which it seems via these forums isn't enforceable anyway.

Some help with how I start my claim would be much appreciated.

Kind regards Mark

If you manage to do it tonight, then frankly you are going too fast .

You Need to start reading very thoroughly the stories on the sub forum and also the guidance.

Use the link at EVRi to start understanding the principles .

You read hard then you might be ready to get started in about 2 days.

Looks good to me.

Couple of typos, "returned" (line 2), "could have possibly salvaged" (line 8).

Weekends are a bit quiet here, maybe better to see if there are other comments tomorrow and then send it on Tuesday.  Get a free Certificate of Posting from the post office.

You know they won't play ball, right?  In a fortnight it'll be a Letter of Claim and then after another fortnight a county court claim.

Yes I'm aware they probably won't even reply to me yet all part of the process I will hopefully get my £ back
