Hi

I have a credit card with HSBC and whilst I have never missed a payment with them they decided in 2021 to freeze the card .

They wrote to me telling me to phone them to discuss options i.e instalment plan or loan . I tried to phone with little joy and so tried to contact via the internal messaging service and also wrote to them .

Each time the response was that I had to phone them . I was and still reluctant to do this and would prefer to have something in writing .

The credit card is still attracting interest at 29.9% ( Also ramped up just before freezing the card) and I am making minimum payments which only drops the balance by a pittance each month . I have also made additional payments where I can but the balance is still circa £5k ( started at 8.7k).

I want to deal with it now once and for all . Is it worth raising a complaint especially considering the amount of interest paid and lack of response or should I just bite the bullet and try and pay this off as quickly as possible

Thanks in Advance

Send them our pro rata letter from the debt collection section of our library??

Dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
