Hi sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place but I was just wondering if someone could help me.

My mum was a self employed carer working with someone else who was also employed. They had a service user who died recently and one member of their family has had some issues with personal things and has taken it out on the carers and has reported them to CQC for misconduct or something like that. but they aren't cqc registered as they are just self employed carers.

Even though right up until the moment they died she was saying they were the best carers ever etc. The CQC have now said they can't do the care work for their service users while they are under investigation.

So 2 questions if anyone can help

1. Is there anything they can do in regards to the cqc?

2. Obviously they can't look after their service users but are they able to do any care work for an agency or in a home? My mum hates not working.

Thanks
