Hi i'm new to all this, but had to register as I also need advise on LBL!! I recieved a letter from the bailiffs on Tuesday saying I have 72 hours to pay up or lose my car, surely I can fight for longer than this, I only need another week or 2 max then will be paying the amount in full (2 & a half times more than I borrowed in the first place) but desperate times call for desperate measures don't they. What can I do to keep these monsters from taking my baby from under my feet?? also would they come to work for it or just my home address?? please help.

Hiya

Sorry to hear you have problems with LBL. I take it you have asked them for more time to pay etc? Now this is the problem with this company, they don't give you a chance to pay and you can't seem to reason with them.

The danger is they tend to take the car and run which has happened to me which has been the point I have been trying to make, they do this even though their agreements are unlawfull and unenforcable.

First things first, do you have copies of all agreements? Have they issued a default notice? Have you signed a bill of sale agreement?

PM the info to me if you would rather, I will tell you your next step when I know what agreements you have etc

Hope to hear from you soon

Nellie

If you think I have helped hop on the scales. If I was useless best to keep quiet me thinks:D

Hi Nellie75, Thanks for that, I finally managed to get throught to the baillifs last night (Gemini), they have agreed a re payment scheme with me, I actually found them more reasonable than LBL, there was no give what so ever with LBL. i'm now paying £20 more each week on what I was paying LBL till it's paid of in Jan in full, I hate being in this situation but at least I slept well last night!!!!!! for once!!!!

Correction only certain agreements issued by a paticular franchise were or are "Unenforceable" against the customer, only then do they then become "Unlawful" in law,all of the other franchises are always "Enforceable" and therefore "Lawful" in law such as yours. But despite this and there uncooperative nature and having a current consumer credit liscense then it's upto the judge to decide it's nature? the enforceabilty that is.:o
