Ive had an active CCJ since December 2018 which I didn’t realise I had, it’s from a payday loan.

I recently applied to rent a property and was refused once they completed the credit checks due to the CCJ,

I had a score of 495 and you had to have 545 to pass.

I was just wondering if I paid the CCJ and it was shown as satisfied whether I’d then be able to rent and my score would increase?

Thanks in advance

Not really .....even if paid in full will still show for a further 5 years as satisfied...which still can have an adverse effect on lending /renting.

As time goes past it becomes less and less relevant to lenders, even if it isn't paid.

At the 1 year mark it's possible to get a mortgage with a 25% deposit, I had to wait until my Newest CCJ was 2 years old because I only could afford a 15% deposit on my house, I am also paying a couple of points higher interest too.

Also the amount can have something to do with it, I'm guessing that a payday loan would mean that it's smaller, the the improvement over time is faster if it's only a small amount

why did you not defend the court claim?

backdoor CCJ by a DCA you knew nothing about?

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
