Didn't realy see the need for it. Just wanted to know how it went for someone who actually bougt it.

Unfortunately I bought it but if I was to redo it on today I won't buy it.
The main purpose of contacting you by email is to gather some clues about you.
Solidworks application is a trojan that provide a lot of data to Dassault about your activities. They gather filenames and try to find the matching website where you are selling your designs/3d prints/CNC ...
If you are naming your files or directories with your company name, they will try to find you.
Now, even if I bought it, I've bocked all network traffics from this software (with Glasswire). It slows down my computer but it is the only way to not provide any data to Dassault...
I think to switch to another CAD software like Adobe Inventor, Rhino 3D or PTC Creo (chinese)

Don't answer in any way to them. If you get an acknoledgement of receipt, refuse it. They are trying to put you underpressure...

Something I can't accept is when someone is spying my files. If I was told how this company bad ass is, I ayn't never spend any time to learn about this software.
This is a no go for any new customer.
After you paid for the registration, you will need to renew each year for support and new release.
This is most a rent software than an owned one.
Really bad idea to pay for it.
