PPI Help - RBS mortgage, loan and Package bank account.

Hi

I am wanting to claim back PPI on an old RBS mortgage, loan and Package bank account.

The person I had a joint account with is now desceased and I have no paper work with any account numbers.

Do I send a SARS first with a copy of the death certificate?

I would suggest that you simply begin by sending off an SAR without any death certificate and see whether you can get the information you want that way. I'm suggesting that you avoid the death certificate because that will only complicate matters and RBS are a complete mess in any event and there is no point in adding any further confusion.

 

Presumably they don't know about the death so string them along and see what happens. If they cause problems then you can send the death certificate.

 

Whatever you do, make sure that the SAR is accompanied by a cheque so that you can keep a certain amount of scrutiny over the process of your application

Thanks, but my surname has also changed too,how do I go about that?....send copy of marriage certificate?
